AGENDA: SATURDAY APRIL, 21st

ACTION ITEMS:
· Plot assignments
· Prepare plots for planting – remove grass and weeds
· Make your own plot sign – bring permanent markers

NEEDED SUPPLIES:
· 1x8 and 4x4 lumber for raised beds
· rail road ties
· mason jars with lids
· galvanized pipe for trellises
· shovels, rakes, hoes, hoses, etc.
· food and snacks for meetings, please coordinate with Nadine 313-279-0351

CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS:
· Hamtramck Heights Community Garden may participate in Garden Resource Program Collaborative classes and workshops. Complete details can be found at www.DetroitAgriculture.org/ or call Ashley at the Greening of Detroit, 313-237-8736.
· Working lessons @ Earthworks Garden 1264 Meldrum, Detroit, MI 48207 map. Most Monday nights 6-8pm during the growing season.
· April 16 – Hands on in the High Tunnel @ Earthworks Garden 1264 Meldrum, Detroit, MI 48207 map

SEEDS ARE AVAILABLE:
· We are looking for volunteers to sprout seeds. Contact Tom Koch, ThomasKoch1016(at) aol(dot) com, if you would like to receive seed packets prior to the meeting.

· On MAY 3rd & 5th, GRPC will provide:
COLD WEATHER TRANSPLANTS: Collard (Champion), Cabbage (Primax or Red Express), Broccoli (Arcadia), Kale (Winterbor or Toscano), and Lettuce (several varieties)
